The marathon-length Budapest Winter Dog Show which lasted for four days ended on Sunday. Our Nobel (Wotan vom Dreiburgenland) was entered in Champion Class every day. On each day he got the CAC title. In addition to this he received every kind of titles: CACIB, BOS and BOB too. Detailed results can be seen under the Shows menu title. The most important thing is that he - at the age of two and a half years old- has fulfilled all the necessary requirements to get the international title, the Interchampion certificate. Besides this, he has also fulfilled the requirements to get the most important Hungarian title to become a Grand Champion and also a Show Champion. Thank you so much to Kíra Sasi for the grooming and the excellent handling.
The annual general meeting of the National Association of the Hungarian Leonberger Breeeders (LEOE)was held on Saturday. According to the tradition dating back to several years it was the occassion where different important titles were given to different dogs in several classes (defined by the show results of the previous year ) Nobel (Wotan vom Dreiburgenland) was given the title of the Male Adult Leonberger of the Year! We would like to express our special thanks to some precious handlers who played a very important role in succeeding this fantastic result, especially to: Viktor Róbert, Sasi Kíra és Váczi Dorka. Our Zafir (Skjaergaardens Casino Boomtown) also received a veteran diploma, she is going to celebrate her tenth birthday in July.
As a Chrsitmas present Chaplin's International Champion Certificate has been delivered by the mail. When we bought him we did not even think about taking him to dog shows. Chaplin (Xero vom goldenen Mühlbach) is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Actually we are leonberger breeders (or I would rather say we were leonberger bereeders). He just walked into our lives and totally changed it. He made our days brighter and funnier. He is a dog of intelligence by birth! Inside the house he does not bark and he never chews anything. He does not disturb our guests. For some people the International Champion title means the world. For us the world is him.
It was four years ago that our Simba had her first litter. (She is our first own bred dog.) Happy birthday to all of you! Ten little puppies were born: five boys and five girls. They live in six different countries. They are healthy, we have had almost only good news from them. Some of them have great show results. In the picture you can see one of the puppies with his new owner, Mr Mathias Schröder, who is one of the most famous leonber breeders in Europe. We wish you very happy birthday 'C' litter!
